Split
Split is the second largest city in the Republic of Croatia and the largest Croatian city on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea. The image of this city is framed by two mountains, Mosor and Kozjak, while the beautiful panoramic view of the islands and the sea give it a true Mediterranean charm.
Split is the third busiest passenger port in the Mediterranean, and has a large number of diplomatic, consular, and international organizations' representations in Croatia.
The center of the city is Diocletian's Palace, built by the Roman emperor and reformer Gaius Valerius Aurelius Diocletian from 295 to 305 AD, and the gorgeous historical monuments, museums, and wonderful locations further highlight the uniqueness of this city.
