Slavonski Brod

Slavonski Brod

Slavonski Brod, is the seventh largest city in Croatia. It is located on the banks of the river Sava and stretches over the gentle slopes of Dilj Mountain. The city's long history and rich tradition are evidenced by the original Roman charter from 71 AD with the first record of the ancient name of Brod.

Although primarily an industrial city, Slavonski Brod is also a business center and a venue for numerous business events. The city has swimming pools, cycling and jogging paths leading to Croatia’s longest continental sandy beach – Poloj. In this part of the city, you will find the unique Splavarska Street, as well as a 3D painting with Sava River motifs, painted by Brođanin Filip Mrvelj on a surface of 1,300 square meters.

This is the city where the famous Croatian children's author Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić wrote her most beautiful stories, where the great Croatian poet Dragutin Tadijanović went to school, and where the celebrated footballer Mario Mandžukić was born. It should be noted that historical sources claim that the necktie, as a globally recognized symbol of men's attire, actually originates from the area of Slavonski Brod.

This city is full of beautiful properties, ideal for starting a family nest.
