Rijeka is the largest Croatian port, the third-largest city in the Republic of Croatia, and the administrative center of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. It is one of the strongest Croatian transport-industrial centers. Shipbuilding is particularly developed, and it is also known as a city of industrial architecture, which mostly emerged along the western coast. Its climate is ideal for those who do not like humidity and do not want to be exposed to negative temperatures.

Rijeka is full of numerous attractions, with some of the must-see sights being the Korzo, where you can experience how Rijeka "breathes," as well as the Trsat Castle, the Cathedral of St. Vitus, or for example the Breakwater. The city is full of events, and it is interesting to note that in 2020, Rijeka was the European Capital of Culture, together with the Irish city of Galway, making it a truly special city to live in.
